Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the 5BP Team Snowdon JustGiving page.
Staff from the The 5 Bouroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are taking part in a Snowdon Challenge to raise money for local charities that are also close to our hearts. A number of staff taking part have been touched by the Shannon Bradshaw Trust and as a team we wanted to show our support and help as mch as we could with some much needed funds.
Shannon's Story
In February 2002 doctors at Alder Hey Hospital, Liverpool, disgnosed Shannon as having a life threatening condition Aplastic Aneaemia. Shannon had just turned 7 years old, before that she had been a happy, healthy little girl.
Shannon needed a bone marrow transplant as her only chance of a cure, desptite searching across the North West a suitable donor was not found in time. Sadly, only 5 months after Shannon was diagnosed, Shannon lost her battle on 17 July 2002
After experiencing first hand the effects of having a child with a life-threatening condition and the trauma felt by the whole family, Patti and Alan Bradshaw wanted to help other children and their families who sadly found themselves in similar situations.
Since 2002 the Shannon Bradshaw Trust has been raising money through fundraising events which have helped many sick children and their families throughout the North West.
