Starting this Sunday 27th June is the last of the 5 rides - Lands End to John O’Groats. The 5 ride challenge 2010 is simply 5 different bike ride challenges over a 3 month period to raise money for Reaching The Unreached, culminating in Lands End to John O'Groats at the end of June.

Ten days of about 100 miles a day. Should be coming through Preston next Thursday 1st July.

Huge thanks to everyone who has already sponsored me.

Thank-you in advance to anyone else. Reaching the Unreached is a very worthwhile and genuine cause - more details below and video attached. ....................PLEASE CLICK the read more button below...

NEWSFLASH 6 - Fabulous donation of £1000 from Mr. G. Plumb (Dad) all of which goes to Reaching The Unreached. Just 4 days to go before the start of the end to end. What a boost. Thank-you

NEWSFLASH 5 - Red Rose Sportive completed today. Great day out with a few healthy climbs. That just leaves the final part of the challenge. Lands End John O Groats starts two weeks today!

NEWSFLASH 4  - The Fred Whitton, part 3 of the 5 rides in the challenge is completed. Riding time 8 hours 44, total time including stops 9.37. Very tough but satisfying to finish.

NEWSFLASH 3 - The Spanish section is completed. Turned out to be just over 300 miles and finished yesterday in Toledo just south of Madrid. Some strong headwinds and big hills but a great full on ride.

NEWSFLASH 2 - The Howgill Hammer is completed. Took about 7 hours. Hard and hilly. One down four to go in the 5 ride challenge.

NEWSFLASH 1: There is a mention of the 5 Ride challenge on the charity's homepage at www.rtu.org.uk

There are 5 events in recognition of Plumbs being 50 years old this year - so one event per decade.

Please sponsor me a few pounds if you can spare it.

What's in it for you? Only a perfect opportunity to shake your head at someone and say 'you must be mad.'
