Rival Saints and Pompey fans looking forward to the FA Cup tie on January 29th have decided to put their money where their mouths are by making charitable pledges upon the outcome of the south coast derby game. Saints fan 'Ron' got the ball rolling by suggesting he'd donate £10 to the Smile4Rich Ambulance Appeal if Saints win the match. No sooner had he done so than his pledge was matched by a Pompey fan. Soon, several others supporters of each club had cast their predictions and made their pledges. We now await the result safe in the knowledge that, whichever team progresses to the 5th round, the ambulance appeal will be a winner!
