My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Members and friends of Breaston Park Football Club have decided this year to raise the bar in their pursuit of 'Wishes'.
In a 36 hour period (start to finish) our aim is to scale the highest mountains in Scotland, Wales and England and complete a marathon route by covering the Yorkshire Three Peaks also.
In total we will be walking/climbing a distance 46.3 miles (74.6km) and ascending a total climbing height of 16,000 feet (4875m) (over 1/2 the height of Mount Everest). In addition to this our dedicated drving team will be covering a distance of approximately 900 miles as we travel between peaks.
Those of you familiar with our previous challenges will hopefully note that we have now combined the 'burst' effort (the National Peaks) with an endurance effort (the Yorkshire Peaks) to truly test our physcial and mental ability.
Please help us by supporting this worthy charity - motivation comes so much easier when we know our pain and effort is going towards bringing a smile to the face of a child so much less fortunate than us.

When You Wish Upon A Star

When You Wish Upon a Star are a small charity whose primary aim is to grant the Wishes of children between the ages of 2 - 16 years old suffering from life threatening illnesses. All children have Wishes but for these children and their families that Wish is so much more precious and for the duration of their Wish, these children are able to forget about hospital routines, doctors, gruelling treatments and have the chance to smile, laugh and enjoy life like any other child. Wishes are varied and far reaching. For some it is a trip to Disneyland in Florida or Paris to meet their favourite characters and for others it is the chance to get up close to a favourite pop star of sporting hero. Some children just want books or toys, whilst others want a computer to catch up on school work or keep in touch with their friends. Whatever the Wish, wherever possible, When You Wish Upon a Star will aim to make that Wish come true.
