The Bloukrans Bridge in South Africa is the world's highest bungy bridge, with the jump platform standing 709 feet above the ground below. I have decided that I want to jump off that platform, hurtling towards the ground at about 95 feet per second with only a thin bungy cord to keep me from hitting the ground at the bottom.

Whether you think I'm brave or just plain stupid, I would really appreciate it if you could spare a little money to sponsor my jump. I have chosen to support a very worthwhile cause - the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, who do amazing work supporting CF sufferers and their families.

I am aiming to raise £709 (£1 per foot) for the jump, which will go ahead on 28 March 2013.
