Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. Our charities receive money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Primarily, the reason behind running 7 marathons in 7 days - if reason is the right word....maybe insanity would be more apt - is to raise money for our charity, FLOAK. It was set up to benefit a number of projects and organisations, including a number of existing UK charities such as the Alzheimer's Society. As part of our £15,000 fundraising target for the 7in7 we are aiming to raise £3,000 for the Alzheimer's Society.
We're also using this challenge as a warm-up for next year's Marathon des Sables, which is universally recognised as the world's toughest footrace. For those that are unfamiliar with the event, it is the equivalent of six marathons in six days across the Moroccan Sahara Desert whilst carrying all of your equipment and food from start to finish. And the temperatures reach 50 degrees centigrade. And you sleep out in the desert. With scorpions. Nice....

| Thursday 23 April 2009 | North Derbyshire Road Marathon (ENGLAND) | Off-road evening marathon |
| Friday 24 April 2009 | Dreadmill Marathon, Derby (ENGLAND) | 26.2 miles on a treadmill at the London School of Economics |
| Saturday 25 April 2009 | Marathon of the Parks, London (ENGLAND) | A full marathon around all of the major Parks in London |
| Sunday 26 April 2009 | London Marathon (ENGLAND) | The one and only! |
Our fundraising total is ambitious yet we believe that with the support of our friends, families and associates we can meet our goals and make a lot of people's lives a darn sight rewarding than what they are now.
