Jo and Ann's Pilgrims Way Walk · 6 March 2008

We support thousands of people living with terminal illnesses & their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home. We need to raise £12.7 million this year to provide our services free of charge – we can’t do it without you!

Story

Hi everyone.

Believe it or not we are celebrating our 60th birthdays this year and they fall within ten days of each other in July.

So we decided to set ourselves a challenge; walking the 500 miles of the Pilgrim's Way. We are setting off  from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port on the French side of the Pyrennes on May 8th and we hope to get to Santiago do Compostella some time in the Middle of June.

We also thought that all this effort shouldn't just help us to achieve an ambition but should also help others, and so because we have both had connections with Myton Hospice over the last few years we decided to raise money for the Hospice. We hope that you will give generously so that others will benefit from our endeavours.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Myton Hamlet Hospice Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now and many thanks for your support.
