Rebecca's 88 Days to London Marathon 2013

88 Days to London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013
In summer 2012 I applied for the London Marathon via ballot and was rejected. I applied via numerous charities, only to be rejected again.
88 days before the London Marathon I received an email from Breast Cancer Care offering me the opportunity to run 26 miles for a charity that is incredibly close to my heart, as anyone who knows me well will understand.
With only eleven week to train I'm not expecting to run the best or fastest time, in fact I will probably be well below average considering I haven't even run for a bus in the last few months!
But I hope that you will all dig deep to join me in the fight against cancer.
Every mile I run will be with two incredibly special people in mind. (Don't cry when you're reading this!! Love you morer xxx)
Please help me to reach my target, every single penny will make a difference, so thank you all in advance. I know breast cancer affects so many people and with all of your support I won't only cross the finishing line but we will be one step closer to finding a cure for such a life changing and devestating illness.
You might notice that I've upped my aim to £8800. In just eight days, together, we managed to raise £100 a day. If we can maintain this pace - like i'll maintain my pace during the race, we'd be able to give a HUGE amount to Breast Cancer Care. Together we CAN beat cancer! Lets do this!!
