The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

We’re attempting the ‘8 peaks in 8 hours' challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support. This will involve climbing some of the most famous mountains in England, including Great End and Scafell Pike. This is both mentally and physically demanding, but also extremely rewarding when we have finished - hopefully in one piece with a gin and tonic... and not lost on a mountain!

We know it's not exactly the London Marathon but considering one of us is scared of heights (bet you could guess which one), both have attention spans of 5 year old children and together we have the combined strength of Paris Hilton's new pomeranian puppy, for us this is going to be a pretty big challenge.

Most importantly we’re doing this for an amazing cause, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We both know first hand how vital the support they provide families dealing with cancer.

Just £2 can keep a typical Macmillan information and support centre stocked with all the information resources they need to support people affected by cancer for one hour. £25 could pay for a Macmillan nurse for one hour, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and emotional support.

Any donations would be much appreciated no matter how big or small, and our employer (Boots) will match anything we raise! Dig deep!
