LEJOG for Rosemere & Fanconi · 13 March 2009

Rosemere Cancer Foundation supports world-class care for the 70,000 people in Lancashire and South Cumbria currently living with cancer, by funding cutting-edge equipment, research, training, and patient welfare projects to make their cancer journey more effective, comfortable and stress-free.

Story

Now then, now then.

Please note - this page is for donating to Rosemere Cancer Foundation. We're also raising money for Fanconi Hope. If you'd like to donate to Fanconi please visit http://www.justgiving.com/905milesinthesaddle2. Also, if you'd consider splitting between the two we'd be really grateful.

We're riding from Land's End to John O'Groats in support of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation and Fanconi Hope. Must be slightly potty, but they are both great causes so worth every minute of pain, chafing and weather battering.

I'll be doing it with compadre Peter Whiteside. Paul thinks that you should sponsor him just because two weeks with Peter could be very challenging in itself!

We think it's about 905 Miles. Could be more to be honest, but it's a heck of a lot more than if you were to just cycle to the local shop. Maybe if you did that 900 times you'd be getting close. Maybe not though, eh?

I hope you'll support us in this effort. The ride starts on September 7th from Land's End and we expect to finish about 12 days later.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Rosemere Cancer Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us! I know it's a long time off and that the economic climate isn't great right now, but we hope you can help.

-paul and peter.
