Richsaw Run Spring 2012 · 5 April 2012

WPSI, founded by Belinda Wright, supports wildlife conservation issues throughout India, campaigning for and protecting endangered species, notably the tiger, by investigating poaching networks and the escalating illegal wildlife trade. It encourages law enforcement and prosecution by government authorities, and gives material support, training and information to India's remaining tiger reserves.

Story

In yet another attempt to deny our advancing years, Dorian and I have signed up for next spring's Rickshaw Run across India! In April 2012 we’ll fly to Cochin in Kerala, South East India, be given a motorised rickshaw, then be left on our own to navigate the 5000+ kilometres across to the northwest town of Shillong in the Indian Himalayas.

The Run is held to raise money for Indian charities and we need to raise a minimum of £1000 pounds before we start, every penny of which will be divided between Frank Water (a safe drinking-water charity) and the Wildlife Protection Fund for India. Every little bit helps, so if you're able to give anything at all, please do. This is a completely unsupported rally - absolutely none of your money will be spent on our safety or comfort!

Please donate anything you can - even a couple of pounds will help us on our way.
