The AAF UK Team (Dave, Gill, Lara, Nicky, Fiona, Eileen and Sue) and friends/family (Sara, Jamie, Chris, Jess, Mark, Jim and James) plus Kandi and Missie the dogs are once again putting on their walking boots and paws for a 30 mile hike on 1st/2nd August along the Cornish Coastal Path from Marazion to Pendeen Watch in aid of the bears, dogs and cats across Asia.
Over 11,000 bears are caged in tiny wire cages and bile extracted from their gallbladders for the traditional medicne industry, medicine which is completely replacebale with herbal and synthetic alternatives. Animals Asia have agreements with the Chinese and Vietnamese governments to rescue 500 bears in China and 200 in Vietnam and work towards ending this barbaric practice forever.
Dogs and cats are eaten in their millions across many countries of . Animals Asia are working with local animal welfare groups to end this barbaric trade and change attitudes towards companion animals across Asia. Balancing the cruelty with positive programmes such as Dr Dog, which promote animals as ambassadors, we are asking communities to consider the namy benefits of companion animals... as friends not food
