So a mere 27 since I last rowed, I have signed up for a sponsored row to support the Shooting Star Chase and the incredible work they do. 

Clearly when I signed up, I did not read the small print that mentioned the 80 miles we would be rowing and the rowing training 3 times a week to get us in some sort of shape!

So over the weekend of the 22-23 September, I will be joining the Lady Eleanor Holles and Hampton School rowing squads, along with a number of their parents to row down the Thames from Radley, near Oxford, to the Millennium Boathouse in Hampton - 120+ rowers in 20+ boats covering 80 miles over 2 days including 28 locks.

We are aiming to raise enough money to pay for a care nurse for an entire year for our local Shooting Star Chase, which provides invaluable hospice care for babies and children with life limiting conditions.  For more information about the Shooting Star Chase please visit their website: http://www.shootingstarchase.org.uk
