As you may or may not know, my Dad Bill has been fighting Cancer for the past 18 months. He fought bravely and took Cancer the full 12 rounds, but unfortunately after his most recent treatment Dad's health deteriorated and we lost Bill earlier this month.
After seeing Dad's battle first hand, I wanted to do something to try and raise some money for Cancer research in the hope that the money would go towards the fight against Cancer. Though unfortunately it was too late for my Dad, we hope that together in the future, we can beat this horrible disease.
On the 25th of March, after 8 weeks of training, I have entered a White Collar Boxing bout, in aid of Cancer Research. The event takes place at the Troxy Bethnal Green, which to date, has raised millions for the charity.
Dad's words of wisdom were to hit and not get hit, so with those high level tactics(!) I'm sure I'm set up well for the fight. I know he will be with me in my corner, on that night, and always.
Those of you that knew Bill, know what an infectious, funny and charismatic man we have lost, far too early.
