On the 18th December 2015 Baby Emelia Charlotte was born sleeping. Luckily for me and my partner the hospital was supported by the 4louis charity and provided us with a memory box and a cuddle cot so we could spend precious time making memories with our daughter. After speaking to people with similar experiences we began to realise how lucky we were to have had the opportunity to have that time and make those memories because many families don't.
The worst, most heartbreaking experience of our lives was made so much easier with the many things we were provided with by such generous charities and people but especially the cuddle cot and memory box. They used one of the most awful experiences someone can go through to help other people and we would like to help 4louis continue to do that.
A few friends and I have decided to try to raise £1600 to provide just ONE cuddle cot/cold cot for a hospital that is without one. The purpose of a cuddle cot is to provide parents and families with the ability to spend up to 72 hours with their baby after a stillbirth or neonatal death. They are specially designed to fit inside a Moses basket to keep the environment homely at such a traumatic time.
