Story

Our Story:

31st May 2010 - Bupa 10,000, 10k run (6.5 miles)

Running the course of the 2012 Olympic's (Big Ben / London Eye / Buckingham Palace etc)

As a lot of you may be aware we lost our Daddy on 7th September 2002, while on a motorbike holiday in Holland my Dad (Big Dave) suffered a stroke. The stroke was caused by a aneurysm in the brain, which had been undetected for years, and on 9th September 2002, aged 54 years Old - he sadly passed away.

A few years ago Aneliese decided, that every single year she was going to raise money, In his memory, for a charity of her choice. This year, after days of deciding, she again selected 'The Stroke Association' for many reason's. In making this decision, she also decided every year she was going to increase the challenge on herself. Last year she ran, and completed, a 5k run, this year she aims to run, no stop, around the 10k route.

last year I ran a 5k run and raised over £500.00 for this charity, and have never known a charity to be so grateful, and this money really made an impact. Hence why I am selecting the same charity.

This charity is very unknown in comparison to others, such as 'Breakthrough Breast Cancer; but, did you know, Around three times as many women die from stroke than breast cancer in the UK. However, for every £50 spent on cancer research only £1 is spent on Stroke research      !!!!

So please sponsor me  - Id appreciate it more than anything if I could, for the second year in a row, make my Daddy proud and raise lots of money, even little amounts will make a difference...
