<p>Hello to you all.</p> <p>My name is Andy Chapman, and have managed to get a place on the ballot for the London Marathon.&nbsp; Being somewhat overweight, training for&nbsp;and to run in the marathon has been an excellent way for me to&nbsp;become fitter and healthier.&nbsp; It is also an ideal opportunity to provide support and awareness for charities.&nbsp; With so many charities around in need of support, I have thought long and hard about who to support.&nbsp; As a result, I chose the Friends of Worthing Hospital and their Scanner appeal because of the positive role that they have played in looking after members of my family, friends, colleagues and clients that I have worked with.</p> <p>In my role as an administrator within the NHS Mental Health Services in Worthing, I have gotten to know the trustees and supporters of the Friends of Worthing Hospitals and have seen at first hand the huge impact that they have upon making the patients' experiences at all the hospitals and health units&nbsp;a more positive and comfortable one.&nbsp; All of their wonderful volunteers and trustees just give of their time and energy and money without any thought of or need for recognition.</p> <p>Their appeal to raise &pound;1 million for a second CT scanner&nbsp;at Worthing Hospital is one of vital importance for the area allowing new ways to diagnose diseases of the bowel, blood vessels, heart and lungs without the need for more invasive surgical procedures.</p> <p>Please take the time to also visit their pages below and read of other fundraising activities that are taking place as well:</p> <p><a href="http://www.ctscannerappeal.org.uk/index.html">http://www.ctscannerappeal.org.uk/index.html</a></p> <p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
