Inspired by Team GB's recent Olympic and Paralympic success, AMV has pulled together its very own team of trekkers to get in on a summer of sporting action.

Covering almost 23 miles and nearly 10,000 feet of mountain terrain with little sleep and a limited supply of food and drink, on 19th and 20th September 2012, thirty AMVers will be climbing the three tallest peaks of England, Scotland and Wales. It's a physically and mentally challenging task at the best of times, but just to add a little more excitement to the event, we've decided to attempt it in under 24 hours. It's a challenge, not to be underestimated, but after several hours of watching Farah, Peacock and Ennis showing us how to inspire a nation (and a little bit of training in between) we're determined to make it.

For those less well acquainted with Agency events, The AMV Three Peaks Challenge is the launch activity for Bud, AMV's in-house charity initiative. This year we'll be raising money for our elected charity, Crisis, who help the homeless by providing them with the education, training and employment opportunities that are crucial to independent living. It's a hugely worthy cause, so please dig deep and help us reach our fundraising target - it might just make the difference when we're lost in the fog at Scafell Pike!
