RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

We are a team of five engineers and architects competing in the Three Peaks Yacht Race, raising money for causes that matter to us.

The Three Peaks is a unique endurance race. Teams sail from Barmouth in West Wales to Fort William at the foot of the Highlands, with two of the crew racing to the summits of Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis en route, running close to three marathons in 3 or 4 days. The race is continuous day and night, and includes sailing, running, cycling and, if the wind drops, rowing as well.

The team profiles are on the race website:
http://www.threepeaksyachtrace.co.uk/#!team-arup-and-over/oxyke

Richard and Lottie will run the Snowdon leg (22 miles)

Richard and Lucy will cycle and run the Scafell Pike leg (47 miles)

Lucy and Lottie will run the Ben Nevis leg (17 miles)

Ivo and Henry will alternate helming of our yacht 'Scimitar' for over 300 miles of sailing.
