Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

ATMOS International is running the Bupa Great Manchester Run 2012 in support of Epilepsy Research UK.

Jun Zhang is running because her sisiter died of Epilepsy last year after battling with seizures and the side effect of drugs for 45 years.

Epilepsy Research UK is the only national organisation exclusively dedicated to funding research into all areas of epilepsy. They give priority to those areas which have the potential to produce results in immediate problem areas with the aim of identifying new means to control the condition and ultimately to find a cure.

Even with control of seizures, life for people with epilepsy can be unpredictable and restricted. Over 600,000 people in the UK have a diagnosis of epilepsy, 87 people are newly diagnosed every day and over 1,100 people die each year as a result of epilepsy, yet the condition receives little publicity and even less research funding.

They are entirely dependent upon donations to fund these research awards so are greatly appreciative of the efforts made by their supporters to fundraise on their behalf.  Please help ATMOS International raise as much money as possible for Epilepsy Research UK.

Thank you for your donation. We will double the amount raised.
