Once again the University have set us a Big Walk Challenge and we, as a team, have decided to put our best feet forward, again, to raise money for the PET Scanner.  Most of us did the Big Walk last year, but the team has a couple of new additions this year, who have decided that they too, are prepared to risk blisters, and who knows what else, in this marathon ‘stroll’ across the Peaks.  It’ll definitely be a ‘bit’ challenging, even for us hardened 50 milers,  but what makes it easier for us is that not only are we raising money for this very important cause, we get to spend time enjoying the wonderful countryside on our doorstep, with friends and colleagues – with the promise of a rapturous (we hope) welcome at the University Arms once we cross the finishing line.
