Virgin London Marathon 2012 · 22 April 2012 ·

Our vision is for a world in which every mitochondrial disease patient has a voice and access to treatment, support to improve their life and, ultimately, a cure.

Story

Hello !!!! And thank you for visiting my just giving page!

A year ago I was fat, shaved head, thug looking slob .... and decided to take up running......... I set myself a goal to loose enough weight and get fit enough to run the London Marathon and raise as much money for a worthy cause. That worthy cause is the Lily Foundation. The Lily Foundation was founded in October 2007 by Liz Curtis and Dave Merritt, after they sadly lost their daughter to Mitochondrial Disease. The Lily Foundation is committed to finding a cure for Mitochondrial Disease and other metabolic disorders through funding research and providing support to those involved and affected by metabolic disorders. Please take a look at their website to learn more about The Lily Foundation - http://www.thelilyfoundation.org.uk/

Now this is my first London Marathon so please dig deep and donate as much as you can so I can raise as much as possible for The Lily Foundation....Thank you in advance for your support !!!!!!!!!
