Sunderland Partnership Kilimanjaro Challenge 2010 · 14 April 2010

We assist the Diocese of the Rift Valley, in education, health and development. Our projects for 2024 are: 1) To update our anaesthetics machine. This will attract specialist surgeons, making more surgeries possible and surgery safer. 2) To replace mattresses for students at St John's.

Story

The Sunderland Partnership Kilimanjaro Challenge 2010:

In April 2010 as a group of 20 from the Sunderland Partnership, will be attempting to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The climb is a charitable one and Stephen Taylor, Niels Vinther and I are supporting the Kilimatinde Trust as in Half of our money raised will be going to work of the charity in and around Kilimatinde village - especially the hospital.

The other half of the money will be going to the Africa Blackwood Conservation Project which is planting trees on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro to reverse the devestating effects of deforrestation.

All of our personal costs are covered independantly which mean that 100% of the donations go to the charity (even more with gift aid!)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
