London to Brighton - Abbas Husain

"Do not feel ashamed if the amount of charity is small because to refuse the needy is an act of greater shame."
Ali ibn Abi Talib (ع)
On 17th September, I will be undertaking the daunting task of cycling 54 miles from London to my birth town Brighton. Never before have I attempted such a strenuous journey yet the inspirational work of the charity Who Is Hussain has motivated me to go beyond my comfort zone in order to raise money for this admirable organisation.
WIH focuses on our common humanity in a world where divisions within society are rife. On a daily basis, most of us take for granted basic life necessities and therefore we find ourselves neglecting the less fortunate who do not have easy access to living essentials.
WIH aims to spread compassion and help the homeless through various schemes in order to help people get back on their feet. These wonderful initiatives range from short-term relief such as food drives, to long-term solutions such as providing CV workshops and professional skills training to help the unemployed attain work so they can become self-sufficient and lead a more prosperous life. I hope you will join me along my journey from London to Brighton in order to support this very worthy cause.
