Story

On Sunday 22nd April 2012 I will be attempting to run my second London Marathon. I have been lucky enough to secure a place through Poole Hospital Charity in which I can decide where the money I raise is spent within the hospital. For personal reasons I have chosen the Dorset Cancer Unit.

In 2004 my Dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer and after an operation he started chemotherapy treatment within the unit. Apart from saving his life, the cancer unit offered physical and emotional support and staff there made him feel comfortable and reassured at all times. This support certainly helped him through those difficult times and seven years on he is as fit and well as he has ever been!

The Dorset Cancer Centre is based at Poole Hospital and is the major specialist cancer treatment centre for adults in Dorset. The Centre provides a wide range of treatments including radiotherapy and chemotherapy for both common and rare cancers.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Your support and generosity is very much appreciated.

So please dig deep and donate now.
