Story
Dear Friends & Family,
Firstly, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts for being here - about to do something courageous.
I have taken on the challenge to climb Mount Snowdon in order to raise money for Gaza, the event will take place on 13 September 2014 and I need your support.
Together we can demonstrate that people - of all races, religions and backgrounds - are capable of coming together and supporting those in need.
In case you didn't know, there have been hundreds of airstrikes on Gaza by Israeli forces for several days now, and the situation is deteriorating. The destruction has left thousands of innocent civilians wounded or worse. These people need us, people!
We were touched by what is happening in Gaza, Palestine and we think you will be too.
These are just some of the daily occurrences:
- Babies are being made orphans on a daily basis
- Families are left broken, buried in the rubble of their own homes
- Innocent children are arrested and locked away and often tortured...
Their lives have been turned upside down in so many ways, and because it isn't happening to us, it doesn't mean it isn't happening.
A small group of us have made a pledge to Islamic Help (and, in essence, the people of Palestine) to raise £50,000 which will go towards emergency medical aid for those who are suffering.
Imagine a world where there were NO emergency services at the push of a button, where you were left alone, helpless and desperately in need when your family were wounded by your side. We are blessed to have healthcare and mobile assistance on call at all times. The people of Gaza do not. And the aid they have is always at risk of being a target.
Islamic Help has launched an emergency appeal to provide essential supplies to the citizens of Gaza, with ground teams and local agencies supplying medicines and medical aid, plus food and water where needed.
Your details are safe, your donation is direct to the charity, and remember - at the end of the day, we can all be people for Palestine so please support this cause and help us reach our target.
Thank you for your support.
