Story

In March 2011, we will be taking part in the second ever Asian Rickshaw Run! We have 2 weeks to drive over 3500km from Bangkok in Thailand, to Jakarta in Indonesia, through sweaty Southeast Asian terrain, in the most inappropriate vehicle possible... a rickshaw.

Starting in Bangkok, Thailand on 11th March, 2012, we will set out on our voyage in a 3-wheeled glorified moped, otherwise known as a Rickshaw. It will no doubt be loud, uncomfortable, prone to breaking down and completely useless at protecting us from the elements. One thing is for sure however, it is probably the least suitable vehicle for crossing half of South East Asia in 2 weeks.

Heading south we will head through Thailand and into Malaysia. From there, we will navigate the interior of the Malay Peninsula before catching a ferry over to Sumatra, Indonesia, from where we will continue heading south before catching one final ferry over to Java and onwards to Jakarta for the finishing party on 24th March

It seems like such a simple plan, what could go wrong?
