Virgin London Marathon 2010 · 25 April 2010 ·

We support children and families in the East of England facing bereavement, mental health challenges and the imprisonment of loved ones. Last year, we helped over 4,700 families feel stronger and more connected. Your donation today ensures they get real support when it matters most.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year I am going to be taking on a challenge month to test my stamina and endurance, fulfil some life time ambitions but more importantly to raise money for Ormiston Children & Families Trust.

Ormiston is the biggest children’s charity in the East of England.  Last year they helped over 16,000 children & their families facing challenging times in their lives.  They run over 30 services across seven counties including Children’s Centres, schools and prisons.  They also work with families in their own homes to give them the extra support they need.

For more information you can visit Ormiston’s website at www.ormiston.org. Look out for the short video produced by Sport Relief about Jack, a young carer who attends an Ormiston project in Cambridgeshire, it is a very thought provoking piece!

Some of my forthcoming events include;

April            London Marathon

June           Great East Swim (Open water one mile challenge)

July             Dunwich Dynamo (120 mile night ride from London to Dunwich)

August       Mazda London Triathlon Olympic distance

Oh and on 19th October I am attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro along the Lemosho route, rough camping- just to make things easy!!

I am fundng all of these events myself, so any money you can donate will go directly to the people who need it most, so if you can support me in this quest (and I will keep you update throughout the year) I would be most grateful.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks in advance,
