I have known Margaret for over 25 years, she is Carole's mummy and Carole is one of my bestest friends.

I have been extremally fortunate in sharing many fond and funny times with Margeret and her family and feel her loss very much.

Living in NZ is hard when happy or sad things happen to family and friends at home. Friends here don't have or share the same memories as I have with you all and it's hard for them to relate to things important to me. Back home we all know one another so well and all have different memories to share but it's not that easy to share when those around you don't really understand the importance of your family and friends. I think it's a distance thing!

Family and friendships are two of the most important things that should be cherished. Even though I am many miles away I think about Carole and her family many times a day.

I was hoping to suprise Carole by coming over but I took too long in sorting my finances that the flights went up almost $1000 so I am doing the next best thing and doing the 10 mile run around the Wither Hills. For those of you who don't know I live just at the base of the Wither Hills and the Wither Hills is a nice wine you can buy, the Wither Hills are on the front of the wine bottle. It is coming into Winter for us here so my evenings for training are getting shorter however I no longer have a car (Hamish has it) so my fitness is hopefully being maintained by me having to walk to and from work!

I would really appreciate any support you can give, it doesn't have to be big, just a few pounds would increase the total. Don't feel intimidated by what others support.
