I will be running the Bath Half Marathon on March 6th in aid of Cots for Tots. It's a brilliant charity supporting the regional specialist neo natal unit where Abilgail, my daughter, was treated. With support of friends and family team Abigail is training hard and aiming to run all the way!? Friends and family have already been very generous. If there's anything you can spare your support would be appreciated.

We can not thankyou enough for your generous donations and words. We have found great strength in this appeal and the responses. We would like to thankyou individually but, and am sure that you understand, this will not be possible. Thankyou again. Fiona and Rusty x
Abigail Sarah Orwin was born 6 29am Sun 26 Sep at the Royal United Hospital, Bath 9.5 weeks premature. She was then transferred to the regional Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit, St Michael's Hospital, Bristol. Here she received extensive medical attention, including three blood transfusions and extensive pain relief. After a CT scan we were advised that it would be for the best that her life support should be switched off. We let nature take its course and said good night to Abigail at 1040pm on Mon 27 Sep.
What struck us, and our families, at this unit was the staff's compassion, dedication and sincerity. Their commitment and warmth left us with huge admiration and respect and the question 'how can you do this everyday?'. The staff here are a special kind of people that words can not really do justice for.
We were able to make use of the family accommodation and given our tragic situation it provided relief and comfort for us.
In Abigail's memory we would like to contribute to the future of this special place so that others, who find themsleves in the same most cruel, tragic and unfair situation, can benefit.
Please, if you were wishing to give Abigail a present or donate flowers at Abigail's funeral we would rather you donated to this wonderful cause.
Abigail Sarah, you are held in this circle of love, may you know that you are truly loved and may you know peace
May the peace of the quiet earth be upon you
May the peace of the deep oceans be with you
May the peace of the shining stars in the sky light your way
And may infinite peace be with you always.
