Bupa Great Manchester Run 2011 · 15 May 2011 ·
Members of the Abode Manchester team are taking part in BUPA Great Manchester run on 15th May in order to raise money for our nominated charity Mustard Tree.
We wanted to start the year by doing something good for our community & decided to work with a charity that was local & that wants to make a difference to those that they help. Mustard Tree is a Manchester based charity that works with
the homeless across Greater Manchester. They run a range of projects, all with the aim of providing support and working towards long-term solutions for the homeless. Some projects are focused on improving skills, some on encouraging social interaction and others that try to tackle some of the personal root causes.
So on the 15th May our team will take to the streets of Manchester, running 10k in order to support this worth while charity. If know one or two of us you will know that some of us are not the fittest & there is also one of us that has decided to give up smoking in order to run the 10k in a decent time.
Our support of the Mustard Tree Charity doesn’t stop at the run, we are also giving up time to mentor individuals, provide placements, help serve at the soup kitchen, hold a charity dinner & have set up clothes box in our staff room to recycle unwanted items.
If you want to help with any of the activities above please let us know generalmanagermanchester@abodehotets.co.uk or if you can’t give up the time you can simply donate money through the just giving website.
