Story
Hi All - Thanks for visiting my 'JustGiving' page. It's great that you have taken the time out to click on the link.
Now - here's why I am doing this challenge.
I have been commuting to Jack Morton from Eastbourne for nearly 2 and a half years now - a daily commute involving a 90 minute train journey to Clapham Junction followed by a 30 minute cycle ride to the Jack Morton Office.
I try to use this time wisely as 'me time' - listening to music that I could never get away with playing at home and reading as many books as I can get my hands on. The journey usually flies by but occaisionally I see snippets of the beautiful countryside between the south coast and London. Many times I have wondered what it would be like to undertake the whole journey under my own steam on my Fold-up Brompton cycle. But I just don't have that much spare time and I'm just not that exercise obsessed.
But Jack Morton has offered every member of staff a 'day to do' - where everyone can take a day out of the office to do something useful (in support of their community or a charity) that they have always wanted to do.
So this is my opportunity. If enough people sponsor me I'll have the encouragement to do it. It's a 72 mile ride - crossing London, through Croyden, over the M25 and South to the Coast.
I have chosen to raise funds for the 'Make a Wish Foundation' - a charity that grant magical wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening conditions.
