The Ear Foundation helped fund the first cochlear implants for deaf children in the UK. We now support children, young people & adults who use a variety of modern hearing technologies. Offering independent advice & activites to bridge the gap between clinics where they're fitted and home where used.

Story

18 years ago, my brother Frederic was diagnosed with meningitis. This meant he would be deaf in both ears for the rest of his life. There was a silver lining however. The Ear Foundation provided him with a working third ear as it were. He is now able to live a perfectly normal life and can hear close to he would normally. He is one of thousands, millions worldwide with this disease and he is lucky enough to be in a position to live around it. The Ear Foundation provides teaching, speech therapists, medical staff and aims to make life easier for both the family and the patient. Hopefully part of the money can go to Harare School for the deaf, allowing those less privileged to benefit. Please support us, if we can get close to the £3000 target it would be fantastic.

Thank you in advance

Adam
