Adam's Tour de Grid 2017 · 7 September 2017

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

September 2017 sees me entering two cycling challenge events to raise money for Alzheimer's Society; The 'Tour de Grid' & Velo Birmingham.

4 & 5 Sept: Tour de Grid challenge is a 10 day cycling event, from Scotland to Kent, each leg starting and finishing at a National Grid site and the entire event supported by National Grid employee volunteers.  I've signed up for 2 stages; The Heights of Cumbria (72 hilly miles!) and  'Over the Pennines' (74 even hillier miles!!)

24 Sept: Velo Birmingham is a 100 mile ride where 15,000 cyclists set-off from the heart of Birmingham on closed road through Worcestershire and Staffordshire (more hills...) before returning to Birmingham.

Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity. They provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting changes for people affected by dementia.

Any support you can give is very gratefully appreciated.
