We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.

Story

Following on from the success of the Harrods Kilimanjaro Challenge earlier this year, I am joining many of my colleagues on the Great Wall of China Challenge, taking place across nine days from 31st March – 9th April 2017. I will be trekking acrossa 50.5km stretch of the wall in aid of the NSPCC, Harrods' national corporate charity partner.

Widely considered as one of the wonders of the world, the Great Wall of China is 4,500miles long, reaching from the Gobi Desert to the mountains of Korea. The adventure will take me along sections of the wall built as early as the fifth century and reconstructed a thousand years later, and will end with exploration in the city of Beijing, giving trekkers a glimpse of China throughout the ages.

The NSPCC is the leading children's charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening. Every child deserves the best possible chance to rebuild their life after abuse That's why we’re here. That's what drives all our work. And that’s why – as long as there’s abuse – we will fight for every childhood.
