<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>So because I don't have enough to do in my life, I have signed up to run the Brighton Marathon. I am running it on behalf of the Raystede Centre for Animal Welfare in East Sussex.</p> <p>It's a tough time out there for charities at the moment, and sources of income are hard to find. I visited the centre a little while ago and instantly fell in love with the place. Set in a large chunk of the beautiful Sussex countryside, it really is a little oasis of calm that helps anyone who visits get away from it all.</p> <p>It's so much more than your typical animal rescue centre. The&nbsp; centre does a lot of excellent work in rescuing pets and rehoming; there is a large wildfowl population, and larger animals such as horses and donkeys. The centre also has some really excellent programmes like an education centre to give local schoolkids a chance to experience animals up-close.
