Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page which has been created in memory of our great friend, Alex Albiston.
On Sunday 29th July, the following individuals took on their fears and skydived from 15,000 feet to raise money for the Bone Cancer Research Trust:
Adam Fletcher, Emma Fletcher, Paul Fletcher, Ross Johnson, Stuart Sanders and Charlie Snowden.
'Alex' was an inspirational young man who was diagnosed with bone cancer when he was just 17 years old, but who went on to achieve top A level grades and a place at Cambridge University whilst battling the disease in his last year in the school sixth form. Alexander sadly died aged 18 in March 2010, but his story has inspired others to continue to raise funds to support teenage cancer charities. Had Alexander been around today, he would be celebrating his 21st Birthday and there is no doubt he would be taking this sky dive along with us. If you you able to make a small donation to Alex's favourite charity, the BCRT which supports research into improving outcomes for those suffering from primary bone cancer, it would be most appreciated and make our efforts in taking on this sky dive all the more worthwhile.
Thanks.
Adam, Emma, Paul, Ross, Stuart and Charlie
