Story

I'm running as part of the University of Nottingham 500 - staff, students, alumni and friends all running to raise money for research into children's brain tumours.

On Sunday 24th September I'll be running my home town Robin Hood Half Marathon with other UoN 500 runners. I'll certainly be trying to beat my previous best in Nottingham, and perhaps look to get near my personal best time for the Half.

A month later, the big one. On Sunday 29th October, I'll be running the Dublin Marathon - level of ambition TBC, depending on how training goes.

Two weeks after that, on Saturday 11th November, I'll be back on the road again, running the very hilly but very picturesque Listowel Half Marathon in County Kerry. And I suspect that will just be a case of getting round in one piece.

Our life-changing research can fight diseases, tackle global challenges and change society. At Nottingham, students from all backgrounds can achieve extraordinary things, in and out of the classroom. But talent needs a catalyst. You can shape the future and help make the incredible happen, every day
