Along with four friends, I'm going to be cycling from the Eiffel Tower in Paris to the Houses of Parliament in London. Starting at 9am on Sunday 7th April, our challenge is to cycle the 340 miles back to central London in just three days.

I'm raising money for the Willow Foundation, which is the UK's only charity dedicated to providing positive and life-enhancing special days for seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds.

Each day is tailored to the needs and dreams of every beneficiary. He or she chooses exactly what they would like to do on their special day and Willow aims to meet, and wherever possible, exceed their expectations, making the day truly special and memorable.

It may not sound much but £1200 could fund an entire special day for a seriously ill young adult and their family - giving them both a break away from the realities of their diagnosis and treatment, and the opportunity to build some precious memories.
