Morrisons Great Manchester Run 2015 · 10 May 2015 ·

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

If you donated to or witnessed my charity wax in 2012, you may know that I seem to enjoy being publicly humiliated. This year I felt I would go for something a little more conventional, by somewhat impulsively booking a slot on Manchester's 10k run. I have never run that far before and have a pair of hamstrings that snap whenever the weather changes or I get up from the sofa too quickly. Some people aim for a specific time for these events but I will just be happy to get over the line at all.

I would be eternally grateful to anyone wishing to support me in this brave venture, all proceeds going to The Teenage Cancer Trust. This is a fine charity that works to support young people with a cancer diagnosis, the only charity in the UK to focus on an age group for whom cancer creates a unique set of problems.
