On September 22 I am embarking on a 4167 metre three day climb up Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa's Atlas mountains.

Of course me being me there had to be a corporate element involved. I am doing the trek with a bunch of reprobate peers, with the flights and accomodation all funded by Ignis Asset Management.

However there is of course a more important factor driving the expedition. Last year, as a family we lost someone very special to us to an extremely aggressive form of breast cancer. In an 11 month battle she never gave up, always adopting a get on with it attitude, and refusing to feel sorry for herself. She really was an inspiration.

However had it not been for the amazing work of the Iain Rennie Hospice, Nath, her partner, could not have granted her last wish of returning home. Indeed it meant they could get married. So they can continue this work and help other families through troubled times, please give what ever you can.
