There are extremely limited facilities in the area to support and educate children and young people with severe learning and physical disabilities, Autistic Spectrum conditions and complex health needs.  Birtenshaw College is looking to change that and having secured a building for use as a further education college (to continue the excellent work undertaken at Birtenshaw School), the College now desperately require funds to refurbish, rebuild and equip the facility to support the ongoing education and development of life skills that these young people require. I am a member of the Friends of Birtenshaw group whose goal is to raise £100,000 during 2015 to complete this wonderful project.
