Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Thank you to you all for donating so far, really appreciate it. Coops, it's from the 18th July dude! Sore bum time!?

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.

Shocking, isn’t it?

Together with your help we can help reduce this statistic.

Many of you will have been touched by the scenes surrounding Fabrice Muamba.  There was also the inspiring but tragic case of Claire Squires who recently died whilst attempting to complete the London marathon and went on to raise over £1million for the Samaritans.  Both of these apparently super fit and healthy young people were affected by undiagnosed heart conditions.

How?
By sponsoring the ‘Global Riders’ Zibrant team to cycle all the way from Paris to Derby – in just six days, that’s 482 miles!

Together with Zibrant’s ‘Hot Dynamos’ team we are aiming to raise £8,500 for the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY).  £5,000 will go to research and existing support and £3,500 to host a screening day for 100 young people in Derby - ultimately helping raise awareness and saving young lives.

CRY is particularly close to Zibrant, a very close friend passed away in 2010 following a sudden cardiac arrest, aged just 26 and with no previous condition detected. Nothing can, or will ever, replace Sarah Gamble but CRY were there for her family at this tough time. how your support by sponsoring the team – we can’t do it without you!

So please, please
