The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that gives families with a seriously ill child in hospital a comfortable place to stay and a friendly ear to listen in one of our ten ‘Homes from Home’. By providing families with somewhere to stay near their child they have one less thing to worry about.

Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

The Sick Children's Trust provide a Home from Home for families of children in hospital. Our daughter had to have surgery at the RVI in Newcastle Upon Tyne when she was hours old, she also had subsequent medical procedures carried out in theatre over the following weeks. Being able to stay in Crawford House on the hospital site meant that we were as close to her as possible when we had to leave her at night on Intensive Care, it took away the stress of having to find hotel accommodation and travelling time to and from the hospital which was time we'd rather spend with her, we had the support of other parents also staying there and it was a comfortable and accepting environment when emotions were raw as everyone there had a mutual understanding. Crawford House does not charge families to stay there, it recognises that some families would be unable to pay for this accommodation and therefore does not discriminate. Families are able to make a contribution to the charity towards their stay there to support it staying open.
