On the 5th of July I will be climbing Mt Snowdon with my colleagues at ASM Technologies to raise money and awareness for the MacMillan Cancer Support charity. Why MacMillan? some 10 years ago my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and it was MacMillan Support who helped her cope with the news, and many aspects of her treatment. 10 years on and she's happy and well.

Another reason to support MacMillan is because it's one of those charities who people have heard of but don't typically consider when donating, or for that matter raising funds. This is mind it was an obvious and easy choice for me.

One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest thing most of us will ever face. If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, or a loved one has, you’ll want a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way.
