On the 29th May Liz and I will be taking part in the Meningitis Research Foundations (MRF) Edale to Glossop leg of the MRF's 25th Anniversary walk (handily where Liz lives!) .

Most of you will be aware that  In 2001 at the age of 18 our childhood friend Jennie died from Meningitis B and a few years later my cousin Becky also had the disease, luckily making a full recovery. 

After I (Adel) ran the London Marathon in April 2013  for the MRF (for a second time!), I decided to take a little break from marathon running to became a Community Ambassador for the MRF.  In February 2014 I even started my public speaking career with an Awareness talk on Meningitis for primary school children, nerve racking but very rewarding!
