As most of you know, this time last year I was battling Ovarian Cancer.....  It was possibly the worst time of my life.  I lost my dignity, self respect and confidence.  Luckily for me I am one of the most stubborn people I know, that stubborness helped me beat this horrid disease!

This year I would like to do something which is totally out of my comfort zone and help to raise a bit of cash in the process!  The operation and chemo that I had last year has damaged one of my lungs slightly so running or any cardio work is twice as hard - however, this will not stop me running in the Great North Run!  For those of you who know me well, will know that I can't run for toffee so this is a major challenge for me. 

I am also doing this to prove to other cancer patients what is possible if you keep a strong and positive mind! Please help me raise the £500 which is my target for this event.
