Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, here is a little more info about the Charity and what we are planning to do to raise the much needed funds.
Currently Jessie May supports 71 families who have children with Life Limiting Illnesses, Children who sadly will not live to reach adulthood. Families with a terminally ill child often find juggling "round the clock care with every day tasks an overwhelming struggle.
Jessie May Nurses visit families such as ourselves in their own homes, Providing expert care for terminally ill children. Their visits allow parents to pop out to the shops, help their other children with homework, do housework or to simply sit down and eat dinner.
Their service is so special because it enables parents to have a break, confident that their son/daughter is in the care of someone who understands the complexities of their medical needs and crucially someone they trust. Jessie May is providing a vital service in the Heart of the Bristol Community - no other organisation in the Bristol area offers this type of care, including the NHS.
Please take a moment to look at their Website http://www.jessiemay.org.uk/
We are planning on raising money for Jessie May by doing a number of different activities.
We have a target to run 1000miles between now and the Marathon.
We will be running in a number of different races including 10k's and Muddy Races.
Andy and Adam have committed to having their Heads shaved - you will want to see this...!
In addition there will be various other fundraising activities and we will post more details as we progress.
