Story
I ran the Loch Ness Marathon on Sunday 3rd October in five hours and seven minutes.
Thank you to everyone for your kind sponsorship. It's all greatly appreciated.
Adrian.

The 2010 Loch Ness Marathon will be my first ever! I have been talking about this for 25 years. Finally, I'm doing something about it. I'm not aiming for a speedy time, just finishing 26.2 miles will be victory enough.
What they say about the course:
"Tough, hilly marathon in a quiet, rural area"
"A tough but beautiful course"
"A prize is awarded to any runner who spots the monster"
My 10k's and Half Marathons have all been for my own selfish sense of achievement, not for charity. I've decided to change that and raise some money for Tommy's, a charity that funds research into pregnancy issues, including premature birth. This will also help me to stick to my training plan.
Alexander, my first son, was born pre-term. But, despite a valiant fight, he died in my arms the next day. Every day in the UK, 17 babies die. That's 17 too many. Any donation you choose to make is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Adrian
