Saturday 8th May 2010. Well the day has arrived and the weather is not great, it's not just cold but the heavens have opened too!

I zip the dress up in it's bag and we put everything in the car and head fro Coggeshall for my Trash the Dress shoot to raise money for endometriosis UK.

We arrive and Siobhan is waiting for me, Siobhan has kindly offered her time for the event and is doing my hair and makeup, Peter is there too and we had off to get the make up done.

The guys arrive, our friends, who have kindly offered to throw the paint!! (trust me there were no shortage of offers! lol ;-)).

We headed for the traffic circle in the centre of the village, hoping the scenes don't cause someone not to break at the end of the road! lol

We then head for the fields and what amazing shots we got, the for the river! fantastic shots but my gosh! it isn't just cold it was freezing, I could hardly smile let alone move the rest of my body! Some great photos though.

Back to the venue for further photos and the finale ... the paint throwing! just one photo here and the rest will follow hopefully by the end of the week.

The dress is trashed, no longer wedding material, although I don't know, it would certainly make for a very different look, which will be auctioned off as art to raise more money for the charity.

The final photo will be painted by a local artist and auctioned to raise more money for the charity Endometriosis UK too. I have been approached by a couple of people overseas interested in painting it too and displaying it in their country, so I may even end up with one being painted in each place, again raising money for Endometriosis which is great as this is a not just related to women in the UK of course.

I will have my new blog site up live shortly and my campaigning will continue with "A Million People ... A Million Pounds for Endo" you can join me on facebook too and here's the link A Million People ... A Million Pounds for Endo

The guys were great, a very cold and wet day and everyone hung in there till the very end and massive thank you to everyone and to those who have sponsored me too. Please continue to support me and this great cause by sending this to everyone you know and in turn who they know and also joining my fb page for A Million People ... A Million Pounds for Endo .... each donating £1 each, that's less than the cost of a cup of coffee guys! :-) xx

Friday 7th May 2010. It's the evening before my Trash the Dress event for the charity Endometriosis UK, it's funny really, BBC Essex Radio asked me "How do you imagine feeling on the day?" "fine I say, It's for a great cause and I've had my day it the dress so I'll be fine" hummm and so I was, I just look across the room where my wedding dress is hanging up and I get a rush of emotions, excitement, overwhelming feeling. This has to be the second hardest thing I have ever done besides not being able to have my daddy by my side to give me away on my wedding day (RIP daddy).

A deep breath and it's off for a soak in the bath for an early start ...

We release Fire lanterns and they make national press spotted as UFO's!

A little about me and why I am trashing my wedding dress .....

I moved down from Nottingham to Essex after meeting Chris in 2007, we got engaged in Greenland under the Northern lights, Chris had booked the trip as a surprise and I had absolutley no idea he was going to propose, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, in - 30 degrees I thought he had fell on the ice ;) lol he even had the ring with him, under perfect settings, it couldn't get any better.

Chris & I got married almost a year ago now in Essex at St Mary's church and had our reception at Quendon Hall on the 30th May 2009 and I always said to him when we get married that I would Trash the Dress! everyone was so surprised, I think some people though and maybe still think I am mad! not mad I saw just different! ;)

Trashing the dress for me means so much, not only is it a symbol of ultimate commitment, saying I will never wear it or another wedding dress again, but it is also a way to make a difference to peoples lives. I was asked the other days, isn't it just a waste? How can it be when it will make such a difference to other people!

I will be trashing my dress on the 8th May, at a venue to be confirmed shortly, I have had an amazing response and our wedding photographer Peter Evans is giving his time from his studio in Coggleshaw to do the shoot for us and I have several people helping to raise awareness through PR and other mediums. This will really help create awareness of a debilitating condition Endometriosis, this effects thousands of women each year. Here's my story ...

For the past few years I have been in excruciating pain, not just each month but throughout the month, day in and day out only to be told by my GP, it's just hormones, take some pain killers, I just couldn't get anyone to take me seriously.

This wen ton for several year and the past two years it got worse, so bad that I have weeks in bed, I couldn't leave the house, I had to arrange social events around my cycle and was only really active and up and about for around two weeks of any month. If you have experienced pain like this or you live with someone who does, you'll know what I mean, no amount of Neurofen is going to help!

My husband, fiance at the time kept googling my symptoms, in this day and age you shouldn't have to put up with this level of pain, there just had to be something we could do. The internet wasn't very helpful at first as it was basically anything and everything and nothing! (that does make me laugh) but eventually Chris came up with the possibility that it could be Endometriosis, I wasn't having any of it, i'd never even heard of it and my GP certainly had never mentioned anything like this. So I went on for months, eventually getting married, making sure our honeymoon was suitable, I made sure I could be in the hotel just in case I was in to much pain to go out, and it continued.

August/September time last year I decided enough was enough, I was now in pain nearly every day, I was tired and it was having a massive effect on my social life, so I went to see my GP again, only this time armed with all the information from the internet, he eventually agreed to refer me to a consultant, I was lucky enough to have private medical insurance so I was seen within days at the London Bridge Hospital, after examination I was told that it was highly likely to be Endo and to what amount they would not know until they operated, so I agreed to the opp

A few days later I had the opp, it was Endo for sure, it looks extremely pretty on the pictures from the camera, so small, yet lots of it, how this can cause so much pain! the opp itself wasn't easy but I am so pleased I had it done. The actual cause of Endo is not known so far more research is needed. What is Endo? click here.

My quality of life has changed so much, I am now up and about everyday, I cope better with everything and feel more human again, I just wish I had found the knowledge years earlier, but I didn't, so I want to make sure that each and every woman has the knowledge and doesn't suffer in silence like I did. I still have pain now and again, but it is much better, I am back working for myself again and I meditate, I use Hypnosis for relaxation, I have totally changed my diet and I exercise, all this is positive steps going forward to help manage the Endo, which will always be there, but now I live with it and control it, it no longer controls me and tells me when to live!

Please see the web site for more information and thank you for your support :)

Keep smiling, have a great day and thank you all for your support. Photos of the event will be added within a few days of the event
